OSHA 10 Hour Training for the General Industry
What is the OSHA 10 Hour?
The OSHA 10 Hour is ten hours of occupational health and safety training focusing on hazard awareness and hazard prevention.
This class is intended for all employees; however, managers and supervisors are encouraged to also participate in the OSHA 30 Hour. This training is voluntary and does not expire.
The OSHA 10 Hour follows a specific class outline which includes the following OSHA topics:
Fall Protection
-Anchors, lanyards, lifelines, free fall, and fall distance
Aerial Work Platforms/Walking and Working Surfaces
-Scissor lifts, Lift baskets, and Boom trucks
Flammable and Combustible Liquids Powered Industrial Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Hazard Communication
-Chemical training; if you have MSDS sheets you need HazCom training!
Electrical
Emergency Action & Fire Prevention Plans Course attendees will also learn:
-How to avoid an OSHA inspection (1903.)
-Reducing citations and penalties
-Recordkeeping of workplace injuries (1904.)
